The Fastest Way To Lose Stubborn Love Handles

URL : https://youtu.be/wTN8mYktfv4

The fastest way to shrink your love handles in your lower belly fat in 2026, and you've been lied to about this entire topic. Thomas got rid of his in 8 weeks. Gary, the same thing in 8 weeks. And Michael, at 52 years young, stripped the fat off of his midsection for the first time in his entire life. Not a single side plank or oblique twist or a single crunch. Because there's something that nobody tells you, and that no one wants to hear about ab workouts. You cannot crunch your way out of love handles. Those exercises actually build the muscle underneath, so you actually look like a square the more you do them and have all of that fat. They don't touch fat at all. It's sitting on top of it. And I know it sounds harsh, but it's actually the most freeing [music] thing that I'm going to tell you today. Because it means your problem was never discipline. It's actually two hormones that nobody is talking about. Cuz there's a reason as you get older, those two things on the side inflate. And I'm going to give you the exact protocol that I use, that my team use, and we used on all of my clients. And I've lost my love handles five times. It's three specific things. They target two hormones directly. Stick around because there's something that you can do in under 60 seconds after every single meal that hits that number one driver of love handles. Nobody's doing it. And I'm also going to give you an exact sample day at the very end that you can copy bar for bar. So, just a quick one in case you do not know who I am. My name is Dr. Michael Diamond. I am a medical doctor. I'm also a scientist. I have a degree in biochemistry and microbiology. I am also a pro natural bodybuilder. I'm the founder of Sculpt by Science. Me and my team work with people on this exact same problem every single day. And I've done this for the last 11 years, [music] so I know what I'm talking about. Let's not waste time. Let's dive straight in. So, why are your love handles really there? Now, before I give you the protocol, we need to understand one thing, and it will make everything else click into place. The The handles that you have that you can grab is not random. Fat does just not decide to camp out at the side of your waist by accident. It sparked there because of two specific hormones that are standing over it giving the order to stay. The first hormone is cortisol. That's your stress hormone. Now, here's what most people never get told about cortisol. When your cortisol is high, your body essentially is in fight or flight mode or survival mode and this has been wired for thousands of years and that program says one thing, grab onto energy and lock it somewhere central [music] where we can use it. Somewhere where we can get it fast, especially when you're in danger and that somewhere [snorts] is your midsection. Now, I want you to think of cortisol as this overprotective security guard and it sprints around your body. It takes that fat and locks it in the storage unit, which is your waist and the more often you spike cortisol, the more of that fat gets shoved [music] into that storage unit and the worst part is that there's a key to this door and you're never handing it back by the things you're doing right now. The second hormone is insulin. Every time you eat carbs, your body [music] releases insulin. Insulin's job is to shuttle the carbs when broken down into sugar somewhere useful. That sugar, aka glucose, will usually [music] go to your muscle, to your liver, to your brain as a source of energy and when insulin works well, that's exactly what happens, no problem. Again, carbs and insulin aren't the enemy. But, when your cells stop listening to it, that sugar has nowhere to go. Your body does the only thing it knows how to do, store that sugar as fat right here in the flanks of your lower belly. And here's the part that keeps people stuck without realizing. These two hormones feed each other. High cortisol makes your insulin resistance worse and your insulin resistance keeps your cortisol jacked up. It goes round and round while your love handles just sit there untouched, especially when you're trying to get rid of it. Here's how we're going to break the cycle and we're going to target this cycle from three different angles. Let's start with the one that nobody is doing. It's going to shock you. It's called the air squat reset. Why I call it this, it will surprise you and it surprised all my clients cuz it takes less than a minute and it costs you absolutely nothing. So here's what I want you to do. Starting with your very next meal, after you've had it, I want [music] you to do a minimum of 10 air squats after every meal. No gym equipment, right there in your kitchen or right there in your living room after you've had a meal, put the fork down. Now let me tell you why this stupid simple thing works, especially with the love handles, because the mechanism is genius. When you eat carbs, right? When you eat a meal, your blood sugar climbs. Your body's breaking down the carbs into sugar, the sugar into your bloodstream. Your body, specifically your pancreas, fires out insulin to deal with that sugar. But, if your cells are stubborn, where that sugar's supposed to go, the sugar just has a, "Hey, I don't have anywhere to go. I'm going to stay here in the blood." And what happens is insulin spikes harder because that sugar should not stay there. And essentially that fat storage signal gets sent straight to the flanks of your body. Now, the air squats interrupt the whole thing at the exact moment this whole process kicks off. They crack open little doors in your muscles called your GLUT4 transporters. I want you to think of these little doors as emergency exits. And once those exits open, your muscles start pulling that glucose straight out of your bloodstream. Here's the kicker. They do it without needing insulin at all. So instead of your blood sugar sitting high and then spiking insulin, the sugar actually gets shuttled into your legs, into your glutes, which is the biggest muscle in your body, and it gets burned as fuel. Insulin never has to spike hard and that storage to store fat never gets shouted out loud because you've put the food to work itself. And hear me out, the research on this is super solid. A 2024 study in the Scandinavian Journal of Sports Medicine, they took a group of overweight men and they had them break up their sitting with short squatting bursts. So, what were the results? Their post-meal blood sugar was so much better compared to sitting still. [music] Was even better than taking a long 30-minute walk. So, I'm sure you're asking, "Wait, how is squatting beating walking?" Here's the science. Your legs hold the biggest muscle groups in the body. Your quads, your hamstrings, and your glutes are all working together and they use more glucose compared to all the muscles above your waist combined. So, when those bad boys fire up, the glucose is getting vacuumed out of your blood fast. So, here's exactly what to do. Right after a meal right that has carbs in it, 10 slow controlled air squats. Feet shoulder-width slightly apart, [music] drop until your thighs are parallel to the floor, chest up and [music] then stand tall, right? And do this for 10 reps. And that's it. It's only a 60-second exercise and you're done. You can do it after breakfast, after lunch, you can do it after dinner. And that insulin driver that drives your love handles, you're now controlling it a minimum of three times a day without adding a single minute of actual work to your life. And if this already flipped how you think about fat loss, hit the video with a gentle thumbs up. And this is a bonus. If you're working a desk job, you know I always talk about, "Hey guys, it's a good [music] idea to walk every hour." Instead, do 10 air squats every hour if you cannot leave your desk, right? It's actually not healthy for your body to be seated the entire day. So, every hour, instead of the walk, do 10 air squats. Hack number one handles the insulin side. But, remember I told you that there are two hormones. The second one is the one that's keeping your starchy unit locked and what to do in the first hour of your morning. You're either going to pour cold water or you're pouring gasoline on it. And most of you are pouring gasoline without even knowing. The cortisol window. That's hack number two. With your cortisol, it has this natural rhythm and it hits its highest point in [music] the entire day in the morning. First 30 to 60 minutes after you wake up. That is completely normal for how your cortisol should behave, right? like this, then it comes down. And by the way, that morning spike is important [music] to get you alert and ready to move. Now, the problem isn't that this cortisol spike in the morning happens. The problem is is what are you doing in this first hour in your [music] morning? And it shoves it way higher, this cortisol, more than it's supposed to. Essentially, what you're doing is you open your phone and you check your emails before your feet even hit the ground. You're slamming coffee early in the morning on an empty stomach. You're sitting under this artificial dim light in your room and you're doom scrolling. Every one of those things, every one of those actions stacks extra cortisol on top of this already morning spike that you're getting. And every day you do this, the more fat [music] storage signal that you're sending to your love handles. And this part is the part that's annoying and I see it every day. You will do crazy ab workouts. You will run. You'll do crazy amounts of cardio, but you're quietly sabotaging yourself the first 10 minutes every single morning. So, here's the fix. And this costs you no time, right? Step number one, when you wake up, actually do this the night before. Have your gym clothes or have your go outside clothes ready. The moment you wake up and without even getting the crust out of your eyes, get dressed, put on your shoes and go outside [music] into natural daylight within 10 minutes of waking. And essentially, what that does is that that normal light tells your body clock, your internal clock that the day started. And what it does is that it starts pulling the cortisol down from its peak and even 5 minutes is enough to start flipping that switch. And if it's pitch black where you live or it's really dark or it's pouring rain, I highly recommend that you buy a sun lamp. Put it close to your face and it does a similar job. Step two, and this one when I tell my clients to do it it gets pushed back but it works. The science is there to back it. I want you to delay your morning coffee 60 minutes to 90 minutes right after waking. Why? Caffeine blocks a molecule in your body called adenosine, which is basically your body's tiredness signal. So basically, when you drink a cup of coffee the second you wake up, you're adding cortisol on top of cortisol and the two of them hit that midsection harder than one would alone. So my recommendation is wait 60 to 90 minutes after waking and that natural peak has already started coming down before you've added any caffeine on top of it. So you will still get the energy from the caffeine, I promise. And I'm not asking you to quit coffee. I love coffee myself. I have it every morning. I just simply delayed when I do it. Step three is get protein within about 30 minutes of waking. Part of the morning, especially for women, part of the morning cortisol is your body reacting to low blood sugar after this whole night of not eating. When you give your body protein early, you're telling your body to stand down. These are my recommendations: [snorts] boiled eggs for a breakfast, maybe boiled eggs and Greek yogurt. Maybe you want to swap the Greek yogurt for cottage cheese. You can have a protein shake. But whatever you actually do, the three steps, this is just under 5 minutes of extra effort and you've essentially cut the morning fuel supply to that cortisol of your love handles. And I'm really curious, have you ever tried delaying your morning coffee? Let me know if you've ever tried this and if you have, let me know in the comments section whether you noticed that this have a real difference or not or did it suck? Because I'm going to read every single comment. I'm super curious. I use this as information to tell me, "Hey, Dr. Mike, this is what you should talk about more or less." Now, before I move to hack number three, I'm going to give you two drinks that are going to work for you in the morning, and it makes this whole thing even better. The first one you've heard me talk about for years, and I used to get roasted for this one, and that is apple cider vinegar. Now, the science only caught up to this advice that I've been giving for over 10 years. The main compound in apple cider vinegar is called acetic acid, and acetic acid does something so smart. It slows down how fast your stomach empties. So, instead of food dumping straight into your blood system and spiking your blood sugar like a fire hose, it now trickles in more steadily, like a trickled-in stream, because of apple cider vinegar. The apple cider vinegar also flips on this enzyme called AMPK, and I want you to think of this AMPK as a metabolic switch. When it's on, your cells are sensitive, especially to insulin, which means you need less insulin. You need less of the storage hormone to do the same job. And less insulin floating around means more fat burning. So, how do you use it? One tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in one tall glass of water, about 8 oz, and you can squeeze [music] a fresh lemon in it if you like, 10 minutes before every meal. [music] Again, please start with one tablespoon. If you're new to it, don't be a hero, cuz it'll be very harsh on your gut. And then you can work your way up to two tablespoons once you're used to it. Now, the second drink is matcha. Matcha is basically green tea, but it's more concentrated, homie, because you're drinking the whole green tea leaf instead of just steeping it in and throwing it away. Now, what matcha is, it's loaded with a compound called catechins. It's essentially the star of the show, and that star, specifically, is called EGC, which your body uses. So, I'm sure you're asking, what is this EGCG? It's a natural fat-burning compound, and it nudges your stubborn fat to be used. I want you to drink your matcha clean. No milk, no sugar, because essentially when you drink the milk or when you add sugar to it, it blunts all of the benefits. And drink it black. And if the flavor is a bit too grassy for you, you can add a little bit of lemon to sort it out. But, I want you to have one to two cups of matcha a day. Okay, so hack number three, the PFC system. It's literally how you should start eating every meal for the rest of your life. And essentially what it does is that it goes after the food side of this entire process, especially if you're someone who's dealing with insulin resistance or pre-diabetes. So, PFC stands for protein first, fiber second, and carbs last. Protein, fiber, carbs, literally the order of how you should eat your food every meal, every single time. When you eat carbs first, and you eat carbs on their own, they break down into glucose. The glucose floods your bloodstream, and then your insulin spikes really hard. And that is a fat storage signal. But, when you eat protein first, something beautiful happens. Your gut releases a hormone called GLP. And I'm sure you've heard of this word before. GLP slows down how quickly food leaves your stomach. So, that food trickles in gradually instead of flooding in all at once. Now, that hormone, like I mentioned, rings a bell is because GLP is the exact hormone that Ozempic mimics, the drug that you're familiar with. Now, you're getting the natural version of GLP, but for free, just by eating your chicken before your rice. I'm not telling you to go buy any medication or any prescription, or deal with any of the side effects. The second thing I want you to do is eat your fiber second. Fiber builds this physical mesh in your gut that slows down carbs a a further. So, by the time carbs finally show up, there's essentially this speed bump or this filtration system. And then, your insulin doesn't spike as hard. And this isn't just theory. There's actually research that was released by Cornell Medical. And Cornell published this in Diabetes Care. And they had people who were pre-diabetic eat [music] the exact same meal, exact same calories, but in different order. When the people had protein and vegetables first, and they had it before carbs, their post-meal blood sugar spike dropped 29% in the 30 [music] minutes after that food. Get this, after 1 hour after a meal, they had a 37% decrease in blood sugar spike. All they did was eat it in a different order. And this is the beauty of this entire suggestion. You can do this at a restaurant. Just eat your protein and your salad before you grab that bread basket. At home, plate your protein and your veg, and then leave the rice or pasta for last. [music] At your mom's Sunday dinner, exact same deal. No counting, no having to cut anything out. Just you really arranging the sequence in how you eat food. So, protein first, fiber second, and I want you to have your carbs last. So, I want you to take a screenshot of this entire protocol. 10 air squats after every meal, and once you're able to do that, I recommend doing 10 air squats every hour. Morning sunlight, the moment you wake up within the first 10 minutes. Protein within 30 minutes of your day, if you're not doing intermittent fasting, especially for women. Before your meals, a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed with water. One to two cups of matcha a day. Eat your protein first, your fiber second, and eat your carbs last in that particular order. And let me know which one of the three you're going to use immediately. I genuinely see what you guys are more impacted to do. This is a sample day, and I promised you my exact sample day, so let me give you the exact way that I would use this. The moment I wake up, I get outside in the first 5 minutes. I actually have my clothes ready the night before with my shoes, right? And let's say you can't get outside, you can be at the balcony, you can go to the window and just stand there and have light shine on you. That counts. If you can do it 10 to 15 minutes. If you're not fasting, have a meal, right? Have a high protein meal within the first 30 minutes to the hour. That can be a couple of boiled eggs or protein shake or boiled eggs with Greek yogurt. Delay your coffee by 60 to 90 minutes. And yes, in the beginning this will be challenging, but I promise you the benefits are going to be so much better. Mid-morning, have your first cup of matcha. For lunch, have your protein meal first. Eat at least half of that protein. Then go for your veg or your salad. If eat at least half of that. And then you can eat your meal in whatever order that you want because essentially you've created the two layers. Remember, after every meal, do 10 air squats. If you can do 10 air squats every hour from the moment you wake up, have it as a challenge. And then midday, have your last cup of matcha, right? And that's it, no more. Before every meal, if you can, you can also have the apple cider vinegar with some lemon 10 minutes before every meal. And then for dinner, same order in terms of eating, you can also have your apple cider vinegar in that particular meal. You can do 10 air squats to close out the day. And that's the whole day. This is nothing complicated. Nothing here is expensive. Every single piece of this [music] is pulling on both of those hormones that I talked about. And I dropped the whole sample day here on the screen that you can screenshot. I'll see you in the next one. Keep putting one foot in front of the other, especially when you don't feel like it.
